News
January 2012 - All of the lakes have been netted recently to improve the catch rates in the Moat & Park Lakes, and the quantity and average weight of carp in the Brook and Osiers Lakes.
I very much welcome your views on what we should be doing to get you regularly fishing at Newland Hall. Please email me on adam@newlandhall.co.uk.

PARK LAKE - News
The baits I would recommend on the Park Lake at the moment are maggot, caster, worm, 6mm pellet, sweetcorn, luncheon meat, bread and prawns, which have been producing the bigger carp.
I would also recommend as light as possible on end tackle the crucians are sneaky, little and often baiting up try to get the fish feeding competitively and you will end up with a superb catch.
The stock of the park lake is at a high level with common and mirror carp and some monster crucian carp and some fantastic roach to keep you busy.
April 2011
I have recently been employed as a full-time Fishery Manager at Newland Hall. Having spent the last 3 years in Spain training in Fishery Management. I’m enthusiastic and committed to bringing about major positive changes. Five years ago Newland Hall was generally accepted as one of the best fisheries in Essex. My brief is to make it so again. With full support of the owners and with a £30,000 investment, I have already carried out various improvements, including re-building the swims on the three day-ticket lakes providing very comfortable fishing throughout the year. I have initiated a netting program to re-distribute the existing fish, as well as purchasing additional stock. The toilets have also recently been refurbished.
I very much welcome your views on what we should be doing to get you back fishing at Newland Hall. Please email me on adam@newlandhall.co.uk.
